PadLink turns an iPad or iPhone into a pen tablet, remote and whiteboard for a Windows PC. It runs on your own PC. There is no PadLink server, no account with us, and no analytics or tracking.
Google Drive
When you choose to add a file from Google Drive, this website opens Google's own file picker. PadLink asks Google
only for access to the files you pick (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file). PadLink can't see
or search the rest of your Drive.
- When you pick a file, Google gives this page a short-lived pass (about an hour) for that file. The page hands it straight to PadLink on your own PC, which uses it once to download the file onto your whiteboard and then forgets it. Nothing is stored on this website or sent anywhere else.
- PadLink never changes, deletes or shares anything in your Drive.
- Files you add are kept with your whiteboards on your PC (
Documents\PadLink Boards), like any other picture or PDF you add. - You can remove PadLink's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
PadLink's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Other data
- Your iPad or iPhone connects straight to your PC on your network, or through Microsoft Dev Tunnels if you turn on Remote mode. The pairing code and remembered devices stay on your PC.
- Whiteboards are saved on your PC.
- Class lists for the name picker are saved on your PC (names only).
- Updates: PadLink checks this project's GitHub releases for a newer version. GitHub sees that request as it would any web visit.
